Our quality Ergo baby Original and Organic carriers and slings are soft-structured baby carriers which can be worn on the front, back and hip. They are suitable for babies from 4 months up to 4 years old. If you want to carry your precious newborn you can use our special Ergo infant insert.

And these slings are ergonomic, which means they allow baby to have a unique seated position with the legs held wide apart. This makes it particularly excellent for baby’s spine development.

Babywearing our Ergo carriers is better for mum and dad as well. This is because baby’s weight is supported by the padded shoulders and waist. And extra padding is available in the Ergo Organic. However, they are not suitable for baby facing outward. This is because the perfect anatomically correct position cannot be guaranteed.

Both the Ergo baby Original and Organic carrier are made from 100% washable cotton fitted with high quality buckles. Colours available are Black, Camel and Galaxy grey. The Organic carrier is made from sustainably grown cotton dyed with beautiful organic dyes. The Ergo baby Original and Organic carrier also have a removable elasticated hood which can be adjusted as your baby grows.

A very handy feature of our Ergo carriers is the zip pocket which can be used to store small items.

As soon as baby can hold up her head you can use our carriers as a baby backpack. Carrying on the hip is really good for older babies and can be the most natural babywearing position for mum and baby.

Carry Positions

Front position:
More than anything babies love body and eye contact with the mother. They want to feel the mother's warmth and smell - this makes them feel supported and protected - which is very important for the baby's mental and social development.

Back position:
As soon as the neck of your child is strong enough to support the head for any length of time, your child can be carried on your back. When going for a walk, shopping, or every day just at home - your child is by your side, or rather: on your back. This gives you more freedom in everyday life, and at the same time strengthens the vital mother-child-relationship or father-child-relationship.

Hip position:
This position is perfect for the temporary carriage of bigger children since your child can see everything and have close body contact at the same time. Carrying a child on your hip is the most natural way to carry a child and makes the spread-squat-position possible.
