Bumgenius Elemental New & Improved

This is a 2013 all new organic nappy from bumGenius. Building on what was brilliant about the previous version, bumGenius have worked on significantly reducing the drying time of these fantastic cloth nappies. This elemental nappy is so slim, I challenge you to find a slimmer all in one organic nappy!, yet so so reliable and absorbent.

Features:

- Durable snaps to keep on older babies. The elemental nappy does not come in a velcro version, just snaps. The natural oils in the organic can undermine the stickiness of hook & loop closures.

- Onesize cloth nappy, from 8 - 35lbs plus. This new nappy is much longer on the rise so will happily accomodate taller babies as toddlers.

- Easily tuck any insert under the layers for additional absorbency. We recommend either the hemp babies weed {big or little, depending on the age of your child}, or the bumGenius flip organic inserts.

- Super super slim. I was absolutely amazed when I saw how slim this cloth nappy is. Easily the slimmest nappy in our entire range.

- 6 layers of absorbent organic cotton means this nappy packs a power punch when it comes to absorbency levels, a fanstic feat when you consider the slimness of this nappy. No more sumo wrestler babies with this nappy!

- The bumGenius patented 3x3 snaps option on the front, making this a very adjustable nappy.

- The bumGenius patented stretchy tabs which make for a snug, comfortable custom fit.

- Waterproof Insert stopper stops tummy leaks.

- Easily replaceable elastic keeping your diapers fresh.

Check out the BG Nappies blog for the differences between the old elemental and the new one.

Fabulous easy nappy
Genius! We love love love the elementals. They are super easy forslightly reluctant changers to use (nursery, hubby etc) - and they are super absorbent. We easily get 4 hours out of them (would be much longer, but I do like to change at set times) ... and overnight I get 12+ hours with a single trifold hemp booster. These are fabulous ... I'm addicted. Genius !

Good fit on chunkier babies
Good fit on chunkier babies which worked well for us and extremely absorbent. If you don't fold the inserts properly you can get bunching which could lead to leaks but once you get the hang of them they are great. Love all the colours and prints too.

Pretty, Practical and Leak-Proof
These have become our go-to daytime nappies. They fit perfectly on our 20lb girl and have never leaked. They wash and dry extremely well, taking far less time to dry than some other brands we use. I actually won these in a competition and to say the colours are pretty, is an understatement! Everyone comments on them and if you love to show off your fluffy bum bubba... these are for you!

My go to nappy
No words can describe how amazing these are. The one down point it the length they take to dry - but that only speaks volumes for their absorbency. Drying becomes creative with elementals.

This is my 1st and I quite like them. Very compact for the day and I boost with a flat weed for bed which has also been working. The 2parts tend to stick together in the wash, I've not yet found a way around this but I would recommend.

I love these nappies, so much slimmer than the V4's and the free times, they take 2 days to dry on the sock airer but I have a large stock of nappies so it isn't an issue for me, I feel confident taking my baby out in these knowing I will get at least 3 hours out of them and no compression leaks

These are really good quality nappies and are really absorbent, not to mention the designs are adorable! They do dry a lot quicker than the previous elemental which is great. The only thing is the lining scrunches a lot in between the legs, however my little one does not seem to be bothered by that. Have not had any leaks either.\r I am a great fan.

I've got s full stash of these and freetimes and love both. \r These take forever to dry though (and I'm worried about using the drier too much incase of damage to the PUL) so I wouldn't recommend if you can't dry outside. And the inner requires folding in on itself, which is fine...until baby moves when you're trying to put it on! Might just need more practice though!\r \r I use overnight (13-14 hours including 2-3 feeds) with one bum genius booster but get a good 4 hours from my heavy wetting 14 week old (and even then I only change as I think I should, not because I need to!)

These are ridiculously slim nappies and the organic cotton is super absorbent. They last 4 hours plus for me. The cotton inner takes a little bit of getting used to when deciding how to fold it, but these are fantastic nappies. The popper fastening with stretchy tabs means you can get a super fit.

A friend recommended the elementals to me and I'm glad she did. We used to have to buy trousers a bit big for the boys (8 months and 20 months) to accommodate 'the bulk' we don't need to anymore :-) these are so slimline yet shockingly absorbent and very easy to use. I'd definitely recommend these, no stuffing pockets is an added bonus!!

This nappy is lovely and so soft - we have it in Lovelace which is so pretty. The inserts hold a lot of liquid (and that was before any pre-washing) so I think it would probably last our LO all night with not much boosting required. Very easy to use although the inserts need folding on the smaller settings which can be a bit fiddly. It does seem to take quite a while to dry as it is quite thick where the inserts are sewn both ends. Fits lovely on our quite slim and fairly tall 11month old and isn't particularly bulky. Definitely a good one for when LO is left with grandparents as its very easy to use!

These all in one nappies are great if you don't want man made fibres next to your baby's skin. The slim layers of cotton are super absorbent - and you can always add in a fleece liner if you want dryness next to baby's bum. I love the bright colours and the patterns, along the the trademark BumGenius butterfly closure. We always chose poppers over velcro, as I think they last longer without looking worn.

Lovely slim nappy, I use these when I don't want little one to have a huge bum. Have to fold the inside to the front or back which can be a pain and moves about if you have a wriggly baby. Only thing that would improve these is if there was a stay dry layer instead of having to use a fleece liner.

At last a true all in one that is realiable and absorbent! This has the absorbency of the old bg organic but the cotton doesn't extend right to the edge in the wet zone so dampness doesn't tend to wick....I have a heavy wetter and after only 1 prewash NO leaks for us even in tights and a tight vest. It is soooo slim too...I have only had this a week and have ordered more already....

We like these nappies, they fit well and don't need to be stuffed. They do however take a very long time to dry and we need to add an additional bamboo booster to them. They come in a good variety of colours. Perfect if you are wanting organic materials for your baby, however if this isn't an issue to you, I'd say save the couple of £ and go for the freetimes!

This is a lovely nappy which is very trim and fits really well under trousers. More absorbent than I thought it would be. I love the poppers as I think they provide a net fit around the thighs. They really do take an age to dry though. Can be two/ three hours wearing for three days drying (I dnt have a drier)! Poo does tend to stain as it is cotton, but some time on the washing line outside normally sorts this out.

I love these nappies, very easy to use, nice and slim fitting. For anyone with a small stash, the drying time will be an issue - the insert is sewn into the nappy (with a pocket so that you can add extra for heavier wetters), and even with line drying, it takes a while to dry. I always end up with these on my radiators after other nappies are dry and being used again. I have a huge fluff stash so not a problem for me!

I love my Flip organic cotton inserts so was keen to try this Bum Genius AIO hoping it would keep the absorbency but be a bit easier to use when we are out and about. Unfortunately, unlike the microfibre Freetime, the inserts are attached at both ends which not only means it takes a long time to dry but it is does not have the flexibility to fold the inserts for maximum absorbency depending on whether you have a boy or girl. Though I love the organic cotton against my daughter's skin I won't be buying any more of these.

This is my favourite of all my cloth. It has never let me down and even the reluctant cloth nappy changers can manage it with ease. It's quite slim fitting, I don't need to size up on vests/ trousers with this nappy as I do with some others. The only downside is the drying time, but I have used this as an excuse to buy more nappies!!! love love love this nappy!!!
