    Great absorbency

Great absorbency but very slow to dry. I put them on a heated towel rack and they take around a day and a half to dry.

These are the nappies we use for grannies house as she doesn't need to add anything to them she just uses them as they are, they are bulkier than some but are very absorbent

Another great nappy by bumgenius, but not their best.

    27/11/2012

Sadly, this is my least favourite bumgenius nappy. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but their other nappies (4.0, freetime, flip) I find are better.

Although it is a very absorbent nappy, (it managed 4 hours on my 4 month old), it takes a long time to dry. I tend to dry most of my nappies inside, and this one takes around 3 days.

It is a reliable nappy and I have had no leaks to date, and I wouldn't be without it, but I just wish it would dry a little quicker! I think it would be better if the insert was only attached at one end so it could flip out for a faster drying time. But I guess a longer drying time is the price to pay for a very absorbent, natural fibre nappy!

    Just love them

    28/09/2012

I've been using mainly Flip's with my little boy and as he's getting bigger started to feel we needed something more absorbent than the stay-dry inserts. I love this nappy, it's so easy, even for my OH who always moans about nappy changes, a great fit, absorbent and such a trim fit. I'm using this on the biggest setting and can still add a doubler too without making it too bulky.

You will need fleece liners and it does take an age to dry although I've found that it's no worse than certain other nappy brands I've got in my stash and the drying time can be helped a lot by turning the nappy inside out. I only have two of these - I'll definitely be getting more when I need to top up my stash.

Very trim, soft nappy but drying takes forever.

    07/09/2012

This is a lovely nappy which is very trim and fits really well under trousers. More absorbent than I thought it would be. I love the poppers as I think they provide a net fit around the thighs.

They really do take an age to dry though. Can be two/ three hours wearing for three days drying (I dnt have a drier)! Poo does tend to stain as it is cotton, but some time on the washing line outside normally sorts this out.

    Not sure about the absorbency

    30/08/2012

For the amount of time they take to dry, these aren't as absorbent as I'd like and there's not really space for a booster. The most I've had is 2 hours and I washed them well over 10 times before first use. They also need a fleece liner as otherwise baby's bottom is clammy at changes.

What they need to make is the freetime with bamboo flaps. I would buy that!

Slim fitting and cute but I definitely prefer the V4s without a shadow of a doubt. Glad I didn't buy 20 of these!

Not sure why I waited so long!

    27/07/2012

I was a little skeptical about absorbancy as the nappy is so trim, but they are great. I've not been brave enough to test as a night nappy, but have done 4 or 5 hours with no hint of a leak. They're so easy to put on too.

    Very good BTP nappy!

    20/07/2012

Bigger in size than the V4's, V3's and the free time by a quite a bit so will last longer. Very soft natural fibres which hold a lot of liquid.
Only down side is how long it takes to dry

    My favourite nappy.

    05/04/2012

This is my favourite of all my cloth. It has never let me down and even the reluctant cloth nappy changers can manage it with ease.
It's quite slim fitting, I don't need to size up on vests/ trousers with this nappy as I do with some others.
The only downside is the drying time, but I have used this as an excuse to buy more nappies!!!
    love love love this nappy!!!

    • Is this the old or new Elemental?
    • Hi Natalie,
Sorry for taking so long to reply to your query. Yes this is the new elemental.

    • I was just wondering if these are popper or velcro fastening. The pictures how popper but the description refers to hook & loop. I'm not a fan of poppers as can never get the right fit.
    • The elemental is only available in popper fastening. The original bumGenius organic nappy was available in hook and loop, but the natural oils in the organic fabric does effect the hook and loop, so this nappy only really works as a popper nappy.
