The Benefits of Eco-Friendly Natural Oral Hygiene
We have handpicked a great range of eco oral health products which are zero waste and made from sustainable materials. Whether you are looking for dental floss, toothpaste tablets or just plastic-free toothbrushes we have a wide range to suit all your oral hygiene needs.
All of our products are easy to use and make fantastic plastic-free alternatives that will fit into your life and lifestyle easily. Not only is our dental care eco friendly it is also free from parabens, SLS, colourings and other nasties which are contained in mainstream products. Our range is better for you and the environment! The packaging used is minimal and can be reused or recycled. Our toothbrushes are all plastic-free and will break down as they are made from either a bamboo toothbrush, a wooden toothbrush or one made from biodegradable cornstarch. The soft bristle bamboo toothbrush and the beech toothbrush will need to have their non bamboo soft bristle removed prior to composting. Even though you have an eco friendly toothbrush also consider the soft bristles when it comes to disposing of your bamboo toothbrushes. The bamboo handle can be composted but cut off the head with the soft bristles or medium bristles first.
How can I make my teeth whiter naturally?
White teeth are a sign of health and beauty, but this isn't always easy to achieve. There are many things that can make your teeth discoloured, like smoking or drinking coffee. Thankfully, there are also natural ways to improve the colour of your smile and your oral health without resorting to harsh chemicals like using eco dental floss.
The first way is by using an oil pulling mouthwash routine which involves swishing coconut or sesame oil around in your mouth for 10-20 minutes each day. This has been shown to remove plaque from the surfaces of the teeth as well as bacteria that cause bad breath and tooth decay while also whitening them naturally! In addition, you should brush with baking soda mixed with water once a week for two minutes before brushing with toothpaste. Flossing is great for oral health and you have a wide choice of plastic free dental floss options.
The second way is to chew on foods rich in vitamin C like oranges or strawberries. Fruits that are blue, yellow and orange in colour contain a chemical called polyphenol which reacts with the protein inside your mouth to make your teeth whiter. This reaction happens slowly, so you can chew for up to two hours or get natural chewing gum to help! The third way is with a natural whitening toothpaste like one with activated charcoal, we have both natural toothpaste and charcoal toothpaste tablets.
How can I remove plastic from my dental hygiene routine?
It's actually easier than you think! We have a range of plastic-free dental toiletries or natural oral health like charcoal dental floss, mouthwash tablets, and natural toothpastes! We have tried really hard to curate a range free from all plastic packaging so you can go zero waste easily in your dental care. We have a wide range of mouthwash tablets including dissolvable mouthwash tablets and chewable mouthwash tablets, in gorgeous english peppermint flavour!
What type of toothbrushes do you have?
We have a good range of eco toothbrushes from natural bamboo toothbrushes to cornstarch. Many come with a choice of soft bristles or medium bristles. Most dentists recommend using soft bristles but we know many people prefer to use medium bristles on their bamboo toothbrush. Our jack n jill cornstarch toothbrush also comes with a cornstarch replacement head! Any non-plastic toothbrush holder such as using one made from sustainable bamboo will also help! Using a toothbrush head made from sustainable materials like cornstarch is a great first step! An environmental toothbrush does not have to mean bamboo, they can have a beech toothbrush or even a cornstarch electric toothbrush!
