Our range of high quality shopping bags and gift bags are made from natural jute printed with quirky designs and vibrant colours. The jute mini shopping bags are perfect for taking food & drink to work, using instead of gift bags or a quick trip to the shops. The large jute shopping bags will replace the need for a plastic carrier bag when you do the weekly shop. They are also perfect for carrying picnics or towels when you go to the beach. And the medium jute bags work for both and everything in between.
All our Jute Bags are fairly traded and hand screen printed in Kolkata, India.
Natural, Eco-Friendly & Reusable
Our range of hand screen printed jute bags are fair trade, ethical and environmentally friendly.
These reusable jute shopping bags come in 3 different sizes and a fantastic range of designs so you can find the perfect bag for every occasion. Perfect for taking to the shops, the beach, to work or to the park, or just using at home to keep things tidy and organised.
Jute is a highly versatile fabric that grows quickly and requires little or no pesticides or chemicals. Unlike a plastic bag, jute is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable making it a great eco-friendly option. It's also a very durable fabric and strong enough to handle heavy loads.
Our small jute bags measure 20 x 24 x 8.5 cm and make great little gift bags as well as being perfect for when you want to take food & drink with you or just have a few things to bring home from the shops. We also think a small jute bag is perfect for kids to carry around their toys and books.
Medium Jute Shopper
The medium sized printed jute bags measure 30 x 30 x 20 cm. They are perfect for replacing carrier bags when you go shopping, make a great larger gift bag, or a great handbag alternative.
Large Printed Jute Bag
The large jute shopper is the perfect size to use for the weekly shop. The wide design means there's plenty of space for whatever you need whether it's swimsuits and towels when you go to the beach or a picnic for the whole family.
Why choose over Cotton Bags or Canvas Bags?
Although obviously any reusable option is far better for the environment than using a single use plastic bag, jute is a pretty incredible fibre with great eco-credentials.
- Growing jute uses a lot less pesticides and chemicals than cotton used to make cotton canvas bags.
- Jute grows quickly and can be harvested every 4-6 months.
- It also enriches the soil and absorbs far more CO2 from the atmosphere than cotton.
- Jute produces more fibre per hectare than cotton leaving more space for growing food.
