An average woman is estimated to use around 10,000 disposable products in her lifetime and that's a lot. Most of these end up in landfills and oceans.

We want to promote healthy menstrual practices that are good for the body and the environment. That's why we put together a collection of feminine hygiene products including reusable pads, panty liners, menstrual cups and more. These best-sellers are here to help you have an easy and happy monthly cycle. They help improve your mood too during those days!

Can you reuse panty liners?

The panty liner is a small pad that can be used for both periods and bladder leaks. They're either disposable or reusable. Disposable panty liners are designed for one-time use and should be discarded after use. There are panty liners that are designed for reuse and can be washed over and over again. They are made from natural fabric like bamboo charcoal, organic cotton and more. Most of them come in eco-friendly packaging like recycled cardboard. A reusable panty liner is much better for those with sensitive skin and can be used all the time not just when on your menstrual cycle like reusable sanitary pads. They are usually made of two layers of fabric, an absorbent layer and a waterproof layer.

Why do women use them?

Liners are the ideal backup for those of you using tampons or cups during your period. Not only will they provide some extra protection, but also a little peace in knowing that there's no chance a leak! You'll grow to love them!

Liners are a great way to stop vaginal discharge from staining your pants and ensure that you never feel sticky or wet.

They're just as absorbent, soft, breathable (feels good to wear), easier to use, comfortable (even if worn every day), stays dry, cost-efficient and available in a range of sizes.

One of the key differences between disposables and reusables is that reusables don't contain any chemicals, they're good for your overall health.

They're small enough (just the right size and length) that nobody will notice you're wearing them.

Suitable for light flow at your time of the month

General Care

  • Remember to rinse it in cold water until it runs clear so you won't have to worry when you wash them with the rest of the laundry.

  • Use tumble dryer if indicated (some brands don't recommend tumble dry)

  • Soak them for a few hours or overnight before washing.

  • Pop your liner into your washing machine and wash.

  • Never use fabric softener or bleach.

Additional Tips

  • Buy a wet bag for storage of used pads and liners.

  • To avoid the pad from slipping from your knickers and to ensure to keep it in place, it helps if you wear tighter pants while on your period. This is important because the menstruation protection you rely on during your periods needs to be there for when things get tough, not halfway down someone else's leg!

  • If you're still hesitant to make the switch, we suggest buying a pack of reusable liners to try them out. We also have a starter set for women that is available for purchase to get you started.

  • Stop wasting money on disposable products and start using eco-friendly reusables! You'll never have to worry about running out because they're always there for you.

What is a panty liner?

A panty liner, reusable or otherwise, is a feminine hygiene item. It is a piece of absorbent material that you put in your knickers to absorb vaginal discharge, light menstrual flow or light incontinence and can also be used when spotting or as a backup when using a menstrual cup or tampon.

Reusable panty liners are thinner than cloth pads. They can be worn every day and are great at keeping you feeling dry and fresh, giving peace of mind when you are due to start your period, and protecting your underwear from staining.

Reusable panty liners are made of washable cloth and tend to popper into your undies rather sticking to them. They are chemical-free, plastic-free and kinder to both your body and the environment.

Using reusable panty liners

Essentially using reusable panty liners is just the same as using a disposable one. The difference comes when you are not using it.

If you have a washing machine then you have all the equipment you need to make the switch to reusable panty liners. You may also like to have a small wet bag (a washbag or makeup bag is perfect for this). You can even get specially designed wash bags with a removable lining that doubles as a wash bag and goes straight into your machine.

Of course, you need to check the washing instructions of your reusable panty liners but generally, you can just chuck them in with your normal was and many can even be tumble dried as well.

When the pads are dry you can fold them up and popper them closed. This makes the reusable panty liners easy to store and keeps them clean until you need to use them. You can then store them in your knicker drawer or keep a couple in a little pouch in your bag just in case.

To use simply unfold the pad and popper them around the gusset of your underwear. They stay put brilliantly and most people find they are much more comfortable to wear than disposables.

Also the fact that they don’t have any nasty chemicals makes reusable panty liners much less irritating and less drying, plus they are breathable leading to a far healthier experience.

Reusable panty liners make a great back up for menstrual cups (or tampons) during your period and can be used every day throughout the month. They are light, thin and comfortable to wear. However, they are not as absorbent as cloth pads and these may be preferable for some.
