What Are the Best Bathing Accessories
Bathing accessories are anything that you might use in the bath or shower such as soap dishes, loofahs, soap bags, exfoliating gloves, body brushes and pumice stones. We use accessories to keep our bathing products and make the best use of them to ensure we have the best bathing experience time and time again.
Our range of eco-friendly bath accessories are the perfect alternative to plastic accessories and particularly ideal for pairing with natural bathing products such as solid soap and shampoo bars.
If you have made the switch to solid soap over shower gel and even solid shampoo and conditioner over their liquid counterparts, then you will be aware of the fact that they take a little bit of looking after. You don’t just have them sitting there in a plastic bottle on the floor of the shower.
Both soap and shampoo bars last longer and work better if they are able to dry out in between uses. This means you need to keep them somewhere they aren’t constantly getting wet with good airflow to allow them to dry out as quickly as possible.
Soap dishes are a great way of storing your soap at home. Make sure you choose one that allows for drainage and airflow. We love wooden soap dishes as they are eco-friendly, sustainable and look beautiful in your home.
If you don’t have space for a soap dish why not think about using a soap bag. These can be hung up allowing water to quickly drain away and they have the added benefit of replacing your shower puff or loofah as well. Using bar soap in a bag helps ensure you get a good foam and helps you to exfoliate your skin. Plus, they are perfect for when you are getting to the end of the bar and it starts to be too slippery to hold and use. Hence the reason they are also known as soap savers.
Best Bathing Accessories for Exfoliating
As well as getting rid of dirt and germs when we bathe it is also good to exfoliate the skin to help get rid of dead skin cells, keeping skin silky smooth and getting rid of any dry, dull or flaky patches. Gentle regular exfoliation can also help with absorption of products, prevent clogged pores and breakouts and stop ingrown hairs.
There are many options when it comes to exfoliation and you might decide you want a number of different products for different areas of the body. For example a pumice stone is great for your feet but too much for the rest of your body.
As well as accessories to use while you are in the bath and shower, you could also opt to use a body brush before you get wet which is known to not only remove dead skin cells but also help circulate lymph around the body.
